                                                            For Immediate Release

July 7th, 2010

Denville, NJ

We are pleased to announce that as part of our relocation effort from Parsippany to Denville a full internal renovation of the 9,000 square feet one story building in Denville was performed with emphasis on making smart choices in construction materials and methods that focus on what is known in the today’s world as “green engineering”. As many of us know strict compliance with LEEDS is extremely costly and time consuming and out of the budget and schedule of many businesses. Tri-Power Design, LLC did not let this overcome its approach to the renovation simply because there are many things a business can do to lower its electrical consumption costs and therefore our carbon footprint. A certification or award is not the goal…lowering our electrical costs and making a better planet is.

As part of the renovation of the new office we incorporated several green engineering features. Specifically, we designed, built and installed our own specialty lighting fixtures that utilized high efficiency, low energy consuming CFL light bulbs, installed high efficiency hand dryers and light timers, installed a triple zoned, high efficiency-low energy HVAC system and have instituted operational processes control which incorporate recycling and environmental stewardship as part of our everyday operations. Our green engineering effort will culminate this summer with the planned installation of a solar panel collection system to be installed on the roof of the Denville facility.

Our commitment and standards of practice doesn’t stop there. We are careful to perform our daily business operations in a way that considers and protects the environment. We recycle all milling operations aluminum and steel chips, computer hardware (monitors and hard drives), batteries, coolant and oil wastes with licensed waste removal companies. In our everyday activities, all of our employees use their own coffee and drinking mugs along with PDF writers, scanners, and readers to ensure the lowest use of paper products. The installation of high pressure and low-flow toilet fixtures have minimized water consumption to ensure our building has the lowest energy and resource consumption footprint possible.

The greatest commitment Tri-Power has made to the environment came in the purchase of the building we now occupy and will own in 2012. In considering the purchase of the Denville building and property Tri-Power was told up front by the previous owner of the property that there were environmental challenges associated with the property. Rather than turn away Tri-Power worked with the owner to support the full environmental site remediation that the current owner of the property was performing to make the building and property viable and compliant in today’s “green world”. Over the course of the a year, the project required remedial action including; soil excavation and removal, subsurface investigation, ground water monitoring testing and well installation, building foundation replacement and sealing as well as air quality testing. The year long project is nearly finished and submitted to the State of New Jersey for appropriate certification. Tri-Power stood by the efforts of the owner who had invested time and money to remediate the site by also invested time and money in upgrading the building to support its needs and demonstrate to the owner and reaffirm its own commitment to a greener tomorrow. Our new facility is now complete and the final cleanup of the site is scheduled to be complete in 2012.

We are proud of what we have done and we invite you to visit our facility at any time.
